The Village Potters Guild

Founded in Plymouth, Michigan in 1995, the Village Potters Guild is a non-profit, cooperative pottery studio comprised of artists who share a common bond of commitment to clay and to a collaborative setting in which to work.

Operating in the historic factory district of Plymouth’s Old Village area, our pottery guild has been serving the community and promoting the arts for over a decade.

VPG offers year-round ceramics classes and workshops open to all who apply, apprentices student artists from local high schools, and participates in local events such as Art In the Park, Art About Town and Plymouth’s Ice Festival. We also host a November Holiday Sale and a Spring Show in May.

The 30 ceramic artists who form the guild are from all over southeast Michigan and we accept applications for new members each Jan. & August

VPG is especially proud to have co-sponsored and completed, with Detroit’s Pewabic Pottery, the tile wall mural at the Plymouth Township Hall. VPG clay artists worked with community members and scout troops to build and glaze each tile. Click the image below to learn more...
