Tuesday Evening Intermediate & Advanced Ceramics - Winter 2025
14-week Intermediate & Advanced Ceramics meets weekly on Tuesday EVENINGS (6:30 - 9:30 PM) from January 7 - April 8, 2025.
This class focuses on advanced wheel throwing concepts, with a review of basic skills and pattern making. Students should be able to wheel throw a cylinder of even thickness and be proficient in basic hand building. Projects may include a teapot, nesting bowls, pouring vessel, and large forms from multiple pieces. Students will learn how to make glazes and the process it takes to keep glazes in good working order. Students will be expected to follow the syllabus and complete each project. Raku is offered to all classes - scheduling subject to instructor and raku technical lead.
Includes up to 50 lbs of clay, glaze, and firing.
Class includes open studio Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.
