This course is designed for both beginners and continuing students interested in wheel-thrown pottery. We’ll start by building a strong foundation in basic techniques, then apply those skills to a variety of creative projects. Students will explore wheel throwing and learn methods for altering wheel thrown objects, with projects increasing in complexity as the course progresses.
We’ll also experiment with surface decoration techniques to enhance each piece. All students are encouraged to complete projects to the best of their ability. The course will include at least two specialty firings to showcase and finish your work.
