Classes at Village Potters Guild

Open Registration Begins July 31 for Fall, 2023 classes

Intermediate & Advanced: Tuesday Evening, September 5 - November 7, $300
Basic & Continuing Ceramics: Wednesday Morning, September 6-November 8, $300
Basic & Continuing Ceramics: Wednesday Evening, September 6-November 8​, $300

Studio is closed to students in July and August.
For Fall and Winter terms, VPG offers Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening classes, and an Independent Study on Tuesday evenings.
Special workshops such as "Plate Date" are also offered.

Intermediate & Advanced

This class is open to experienced potters who have taken at least three classes at VPG or have approval from the Education Director. This is an opportunity for students to expand their repertoire and explore beyond the basics, providing a springboard to new levels of creativity.
Includes up to 50 lbs. of clay, glaze, and firing

Basic & Continuing Ceramics

Students will explore wheel throwing and hand building techniques for both functional and decorative work, including surface treatments such as texture, slips and glaze. The instructor will also work with students individually to help them develop their ideas in clay.

Open Studio

VPG studio is open to all current students Thursdays and Saturdays, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm during the same weeks that classes are held. 

Special Open Studio sessions are offered periodically by invitation to current and previous VPG students.
Class registration opens about 4 weeks prior to start of classes.
  • ​​Students will be accepted in the order in which registration is received.
  • VPG reserves the right to cancel classes if minimum class sized are not met, or due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Payment must be made to Village Potters Guild to secure a spot in the class.
