Village Potters Guild is now accepting applications for membership from experienced potters. Membership allows potters to meet and work with other potters.  Members are given keys to the guild building and can use the studio at any time except during scheduled classes.  They earn points for guild work and use these points for firing their work.  All members are eligible to participate in guild sales.  We welcome members who display a cooperative spirit and are able to devote time to working for the guild as well as making their work at the guild.

Guild members are chosen without regard to race or religion.  Cooperative spirit and technical proficiency are considerations for membership.  The guild is owned and operated by the members.  Current by-laws and membership responsibilities require that members:
  • Pay dues on time
  • Attend guild meetings
  • Clean guild areas as scheduled
  • Make glazes
  • Participate in committees (e.g. glazing, social media, holiday market)
  • Monitor open studio sessions

The Village Potters Guild is a non-profit corporation, formed to promote and develop the art of ceramics and pottery activities of every form.  Our activities stimulate further community participation, awareness and appreciation of pottery as an art form.  We sponsor demonstrations, seminars, exhibitions and instruction for the personal and cultural enhancement of the participants and our community.

How to Apply for Membership
VPG welcomes experienced potters to apply for guest membership.  If you are interested in applying to be a guest member, please click the link below to go to the membership application form, fill it in and submit it, and we will contact you.

The application is a three phase process, beginning with the written application.  If moved to phase two, the applicant will be requested to provide examples of their work.  The third phase is an interview with the Guild members.  Guest membership is for a one year period. Membership dues are $220 per quarter, due on the first day of each quarter.  Upon acceptance to VPG as a guest member, a fee of $250 is assessed.
