New Morning School

Village Potters Guild supports members who provide onsite instruction to K-8 students at New Morning School in Plymouth. With the help of NMS teachers and aids, students make objects such as fish and cups, and paint them with underglaze. VPG fires them with clear glaze and returns them to the school. Team Building Event
for ​Student Advocacy Center of Michigan, April 2023

We recently enjoyed hosting a staff team building event for the Student Advocacy Center of Michigan. They worked on building community, explored issues of perfectionism, and engaged in art as a healing practice. There were some insights and a lot of laughter as they played in clay, worked together, and made shakers that reference various personalities. Who says work can't be fun?!
