Valinda Vincent

I have always had a love affair with pottery and collected it for years prior to enrolling in the beginning ceramics class at Henry Ford Community College over 20 years ago.  The minute I took the clay in my hands and created a piece of art – I knew that I had found the art medium that was meant for me.  I have taken classes and workshops to explore all aspects of pottery including hand building, wheel throwing, tile making, mold making, sculpture, glaze and clay making, and Ceramic Art History, to name a few.  I have also been fortunate to serve as Treasurer for the Michigan Potters Association (now known as Michigan Ceramics Art Association).

Every time I step into the studio, I learn something new and am excited to explore and experience where clay will take me.  My love affair continues.
